Botox and Wrinkles
Botox is a popular remedy for treating facial wrinkles in the forehead, between the eyes and in the dreaded crows feet sections of the face. It works by weakening the facial expression muscles into a kind of paralysis. This means the skin tends to flatten which gives the impression that the wrinkles have disappeared by magic. In most cases this can result in the patient looking years younger as laugh lines disappear in an instant.

How Long Does it Last?
Alas, the effect of the Botox does not last for ever and will wear off. The paralysis is temporary, and regular top-up injections are needed to maintain the effect. Typically, an initial course will last 3 to 6 months, and the results can be seen very quickly. For some people it's possible to pop out at lunchtime for an hour, have a quick Botox session, then back to work.
